Your bookshelf mosaic in the bathroom is absolutely gorgeous! I would love to attend one of your courses but I live in Los Angeles. May I ask you how you created the “book” look? It appears that the tops of the books are slightly rounded. Did you start with one long piece of tile and cut into smaller pieces? I’m not trying to copy your work, but I would like to create a small picture above my desk with showing a few mosaiced books. Thank you for sharing your magnificent work in the Internet.
i made a pile of long rectangles out of ceramic tiles, then using a saucer as a template, marked with a pen then scored gentle curves at even spaces down the tile. which i broke with a snapping tool. This gives the effect of the spine of an old book.
